Couple of Quick Notes
Written by Wiggy on August 15, 2010 – 2:59 pm -Got just a couple quick notes for you today:
1 – My new free article, “What’s Better – Really Good or Great?” is up at MMA Weekly.com. Check it out at this link:
=>CLICK HERE to read the article
2 – “Body Armor” is selling like friggin’ mad. Have you got your copy yet? If not, then…well…what’s wrong with you?
=>CLICK HERE to get big, be powerful, and look awesome w/your shirt off
3 – I’ve told you more than once about my favorite eating plan, which is Intermittent Fasting (IF) – or, eating just at the end of the day. I’ve also told you about a great book on IF called “Eat Stop Eat”. Well, I got a great question about the plan described in that book versus what I say I do (I actually do a little more than what the author says.)
I’ll be covering it in more detail later this week, but for now, just do what author Brad Pilon suggests. More on that soon.
=>CLICK HERE to pick up your own copy of “Eat Stop Eat”
4 – Went and saw “The Expendables” on Friday afternoon. OH MY GOD. The movie was FREAKIN’ EPIC. This film should be required viewing for every male – no questions asked.
GO SEE IT!!
Funny though – while I was buying the tickets, something happened. The encounter was only about 10…maybe 15 seconds long. But it just stuck with me as a problem I’ve gotta address.
Stay tuned to an upcoming blog post. We’ve got a problem that needs to get fixed…and pronto.

“I Don’t Care How Strong I Am”
Written by Wiggy on August 13, 2010 – 4:38 pm -When I was in college, I worked for the athletic dept, all four years. Part of what I used to do was watch the university weight room.
You know – check IDs, clean up, give guys a spot…that sorta thing.
Well, as you can imagine, there were a whole host of different little cliques of people that would come in. There were the bodybuilder wannabes, the guys wanting to be super-strong, the dudes that lifted just to lift, the girls who used to come in wearing short shorts and sports bras to get attention from the dudes (too bad they were butt-ugly, though… *shrug*).
There were two dudes that used to come in and train together all the time. Nice enough guys – we all got along well enough. They were a little older than me at the time, and had the whole “Maxim” kinda vibe going.
They cared about how they looked, what kinda cologne was the best, designer-label jeans, hair care products…these dudes were metrosexual before there even was metrosexual.
(Personally, I thought it was all pansy-ass and kinda fairy-like, but like I said, they were cool enough dudes, and that’s all I really cared about. They didn’t try to ‘convert’ me, nor I them.)
One night, one of the dudes comes in to work out by himself, as evidently his buddy had to study or something, so I ended up giving him a spot. Thought it was kinda odd, really, as he was asking for a spot on some seated DB overhead presses…and he was using 45 lbs. DBs.
And this dude was prolly about 6′ tall, and weighed a solid 200 lbs. or so. He had decent muscle size, and a good bone structure. He shoulda been pushing A LOT more weight than that.
Anyway, after a set or two, I ask him if he wants to go up, and he just shook his head. He was concentrating on his workout, which was cool w/me, so I didn’t ask again. I just gave him a spot.
When he was done, he came up to me and we bullshitted for a bit. Not being able to resist myself, I asked him again why he hadn’t used more weight. He coulda easily been putting up 60s or 65s with good form.
He proceeds to go on this diatribe about using constant tension, and always feeling the muscle, and controlled movement, yadda yadda. But the thing that opened my eyes was when he said, “I don’t care how strong I am”.
Uhhhhh….what? Say that again…
He then goes on about how all he wants to do is look good so he can bang hot chicks. There wasn’t any other purpose
to his working out than that.
Now, I can respect that and all, but c’mon…you don’t even wanna be able to back up what you look like you can do? And I asked him, b/c he had a decent-enough build, what are you gonna do when somebody sees your physique – essentially “talking the talk” – and then expects you to be able to “walk the walk”?
I don’t remember what he said, but he clearly wasn’t worried.
About two weeks later, I saw him in the weight room again, and he was hitting on one of the sports bra skanks I mentioned earlier. Evidently she were impressed w/his physique, and he was giving her tips on how to squat correctly.
That is, until a buddy of mine – quiet dude, about 5’7″, maybe 165 lbs, and pretty damn strong for his size – asked to “work in” on the squat rack. The metrosexual dude said “sure”…only to watch my buddy walk into the rack, and instead of doing squats, proceed to do a set of pushpresses with the weight the other dude was squatting with.

Ouch.
I had to laugh, and my buddy walked to me just grinning from ear to ear. LMAO. All of a sudden, the girl wasn’t too interested in what ole’ boy had to say anymore.
Moral of the story – I don’t care what your goals are…looking like Tarzan and playing like Jane won’t *ever* get you there. So why even risk it?
Get a proper workout like Body Armor instead, and not only look good…but perform good, too.

I Hate This Dumb Question
Written by Wiggy on August 10, 2010 – 3:30 pm -Was browsing a forum yesterday, and saw another of those stupid threads that was a poll asking which kinda physique you’d like to have:
-first was a skinny dude…think of an 18-year old kid that never ate a hamburger in his life…or ever did a full set of pushups
-next was a pro bodybuilder. Won’t say who it was, but he was massive, huge legs & chest, a waist as wide as a barn door, and shoulders that looked like they had more oil (synthol) in them than the small block V8 under the hood of my ’66 Mustang
-last guy had a very muscular, yet very athletic-looking physique. Broad shoulders, a chest that wasn’t too big, muscular arms, big traps & back, thick (but not too big) legs
Which one do you think was WAY out in the lead?
Funny, really, b/c you had a few guys come on the thread right away talking about how dumb the thread was, b/c “all I care about is how I can (insert activity here)”.
I dunno about you guys, but the whole macho “I’m too cool to care how I look b/c I only care about how I can (insert activity here)” is getting SOOOOOO tiresome.
Face it dudes – most of you that spout that line are full of crap.
You’re trying to say that even though you want to be able to (insert activity here), that you could care less if:
-you’re the only guy in the room whose arms stretch his t-shirt?
-you’re the one who everybody comes up to, and asks “Yo man – how did you get such an awesome V-taper?”
-you’re the one who the cutie from across the room keeps staring at…even if she is with her boyfriend?
Yeah…Ok. Whatever. For the rest of us, there are muscle building workouts like Body Armor.
If you don’t wanna be one of these “all show and no go” or a “who cares if he can bench a ton – he’s got ‘dicky-do’ disease” guys…

PS – hahahahahaha – remember the other day, I told y’all about my buddy Mick from Australia – the 52-year old kicking ass and using Body Armor to prepare for his natural bodybuilding contest? He posted on my Facebook page last night…”Hey Matt, anyone ever told you where you can shove your Week 3 – Day 2…”
Best. Testimonial. EVER.

Just Like That Girl w/the 3 Bears…
Written by Wiggy on August 9, 2010 – 4:20 pm -One of the biggest questions guys have when they’re looking at new muscle building programs is just how much work they should be doing?
On one hand, you’ve got the HIT guys, who – if they had their way, you’d do exactly 17.3 seconds of exercise every 29 days – want you to do as little exercise as possible.
On the other hand, you’ve got a lot of the bodybuilding crowd, who – if they had their way, you’d do at least 7 different exercises, 9 sets each…just for biceps – want you to do way more work than you need…or will ever recover from.
So, in the end, what do you really need?
Just like ole’ Goldilocks, you need something that’s “just right”.
See, to build muscle, you gotta a right combination of three things:
-lifting heavy
-enough volume
-workout density
That’s where workouts like Body Armor come in. Go too far in any one extreme, and you jack up the whole combination. Too heavy means you can’t do enough volume. Too much density means you can’t lift heavy enough. Too much volume means no recovery.
What you need to build size is a program that lets you:
-lift heavy enough to get stronger & more powerful…no p*ssy weights used
-stimulate enough muscle so that the ‘growing’ process is triggered…but not so much that you blast your CNS or get injured
-train in a fashion that your workouts don’t take all damn day (I don’t care who used to do what kinda marathon workouts – for a whole ton of reasons, you’re best off getting in, getting done, and getting out)
Yeah, I know. It all seems pretty simple, huh? You’d be surprised how easy it is to screw it up, though.
(If it wasn’t, then every dude would walk around looking like an adonis…and that just don’t happen…does it?)
You could always pretty much guarantee success…and just pick up a copy of “Body Armor”….
…just sayin’.

An “Incredible Hulk” Workout?
Written by Wiggy on August 8, 2010 – 3:39 pm -I dunno about you, but I’ve been an “Incredible Hulk” fan for as long as I can remember. I can still remember watching the TV series on Friday nights as a kid, and just being awed by Lou Ferrigno.
Later on, when he and the late Bill Bixby made the for TV movies, even though I was a little older, I still loved watching Lou beat the hell outta crap, and toss bad guys around like rag dolls. Hell, being that I was a little older, and more into working out now, I might’ve even liked the movies *more* b/c I could appreciate how much work Big Louie had put into his physique.
(And is it just me, or am I the only one who though Banner was CRAZY for trying to ‘cure’ himself? I dunno about you, but if I could turn into a big green dude that could smash his way through anything, you think I’d be trying to ‘cure’ myself? NO WAY! Hell, I’d was busting my ass to turn myself *into* that kinda guy! And am I also the only one who thought if it’d really turn you into the Hulk, that a little gamma radiation might not be *that bad*…hahaha)
Not sure why the Hulk always resonated w/me – probably b/c I just like the idea of being big, stronger than anybody else, and being able to defend myself and those I cared for. (And who doesn’t wanna be able to clobber a bad guy like it’s nothing?)
Right about here is where I’m supposed to tell you how much of an influence Big Louie and the Hulk were in me wanting to originally get big and strong, and stuff, right? Well, I’m sure y’all have heard that story plenty of times before from tons of people, so I won’t waste your time.
Anyway, the other day I saw a trailer for the upcoming “Avengers” movie had been released online, and checked it out, along w/some of the stuff about how Edward Norton had been replaced as Bruce Banner in the film. Which is a shame, b/c “The Incredible Hulk” movie he did was friggin’ AWESOME and he was great in it.
(We’ll just pretend Ang Lee’s Hulk movie never happened, Ok? Thanks.)
So, being the fanboy I am, I pulled out my “Incredible Hulk” blu-ray out and watched it again the other day. What an awesome movie.
Last night, I was going through a bunch of the extras, and heard the craziest thing…
They were talking to the dudes that did the cgi for the Hulk, and they were talking about creating him – what he was to look like, the kind of stature he was to have, what kinda physique he should have, etc.
Now, you’d *think* that since the Hulk was supposed to be this giant brute of a monster, and even since how the Hulk was introduced to millions of people by a bodybuilder, that the look of a bodybuilder would have been what they went after…esp w/the look of today’s pros. These dudes are like mutants themselves.
But, nope. That wasn’t the case.
They said they wanted a creature that looked more like a linebacker. A physique that wasn’t just big, but (more or less) athletic, and not too over the top. They still wanted something people could identify with. So, they basically just took what they thought a physique of a strong, powerful, athletic, linebacker kinda build be, and just up-sized it.
How funny is it that the Hulk is supposed to be this monster, this brute, this rage filled strength machine…he’s supposed to be all things muscle…
…yet the look of a pro-bodybuilder didn’t fit the bill.
So, when you’re looking to add muscle, improve your physique, gain muscle mass, and “get swole”…why would you look to what bodybuilders do?
Why not go after the kinda physique that just screams strength and power, athleticism and ability, size and muscularity?
You know…the kinda physique you can build with “Body Armor”.
Hell…it’s even what the computer nerds designing cgi for the know looks good and is what you wanna look like.
=>GO HERE and find the workout that can turn you into your own personal Hulk
Now…who knows where I can get some gamma radiation…you know…just “in case”…
