A Different Kinda Density

Wow. I mean just…wow.

As y’all now know, the ‘Championship Edition 2.0′ MMA Workout Program is out, available, and on the market. And this thing is just KILLING it right now. I thought it’d be popular, but didn’t know it’d do this well.

(But hey – I’m not complaining. I like these kinda surprises! ;-)

In fact, even got a quick post from Dave “Scooter” Honig last night on Facebook. You know Scooter – trainer to more pro
boxers than you can count…not to mention mega-superstar LL Cool J. (Yeah, Scooter is the guy responsible for LL’s
massive transformation.)

Anyway, Scooter musta liked what he saw in Champ Edition 2.0, as he called it “…so easy to follow.” (Guess that means pretty much anybody could do it, huh?)

Enough on that though – let’s talk density for a minute.

When I say “density training”, everybody automatically thinks of the pretty much industry standard style of density training where you pick a block of time, and do as much work as you can during it. The next time out, you either do more work, or do it harder.

So, if you were doing Squats, and got XX reps with YY pounds in 15 mins, then next time, you’d better add a rep to two to XX, or use more than YY pounds.

Simple enough, right?

Well, when putting together ‘Championship Edition 2.0′, I thought density training would be a great way to approach conditioning, so that’s exactly what I did.

BUT…I twisted it a little.

You see, I used density training for conditioning just like it’s described above…but then I also took and integrated a style of density training that comes at conditioning from a totally different angle. Completely opposite, really.

I will tell you this though, a lot of people were *really* impressed when they saw what I put together. Have even had one guy go as far as to describe it as “pure genius”.

All New – Videos, Workout Logs, & More?

Well, it’s finally here – the ‘Championship Edition 2.0′ MMA Workout Program.

I’m gonna be talking more about this in the next few days, but I until then, I wanted to remind you…

…remember, this is the MMA workout that I originally designed for a (now former) UFC Champ. This program was created to get one of the best athletes in the world ready for his toughest fight of all time.

To make sure he was ready, this program was supposed to:

-get him strong, and then build a super big aerobic base

-then turn that strength into power

-then start develop anaerobic conditioning

-then really work on explosiveness

-then combine it all together by developing power-endurance (the ability to be as powerful as possible for as long as possible)

All in all, this turned out to be a *very* kickass program…and you don’t have to be a pro fighter or even preparing for a fight to use it. “Regular Joes” (and Janes!) have used this program the world-over and ended up developing a type of power-endurance they’ve never had before.

Now, you might be wondering about the “2.0″ thing…

This is the updated version of this product package. The workout has been updated a little (not much – why mess w/something that’s already kickass, right?), but I added a bunch of cool stuff to the overall deal to make it easier to use, and help ensure you success, to include workout logs, video demos, and more.

Sunday Is the Last Day

Makin’ this one short & sweet.

I’ve been telling y’all that I’m gonna pull “Working Class Fitness – The Programs” off the market to make room for an updated version of my “Championship Edition” MMA Workout.

Well, the time has come. “Championship Edition 2.0″ is done and ready, and will be going up for sale on Monday morning.

Prepare to Be Motivated

My very good friend Andy Hepler (of Hepler Strength & Conditioning) has put together another compilation video of the athletes training in his gym.

In case you haven’t seen my posts about Andy & his gym in the past, Andy runs a sports performance gym in Thomasville, NC, where he trains middle and high school athletes, as well as a few “regular joes/janes”.

Andy bring an unrelenting intensity to his gym, and his athletes train & work harder than almost anybody I know. I’ve put some of Andy’s athletes through workouts, and they’re all monsters.

Due to their hard work, Andy’s athletes accomplish some pretty kickass honors, to include being awarded college scholarships to play basketball, baseball, & football; winning high school combines; and breaking PRs pretty much daily.

Andy just put together a compilation video of some of the training that’s been going on at his gym this summer. Watch it below.

Only a Couple Days Left
